What Causes Mild Intermittent Flank Pain Along With Rectal Pressure?
I am a 34y white female. I have been having rectal pressure and feelings of needing to have a bowel movement; however, if I am able to have a bowel movement, it is usually small and I rarely feel like I fully evacuate my bowels. I have had blood in my stools on occasion, but I have known hemorrhoids. I am tired all the time. This has all been worsening over the last 2-3 months. I also have dull, intermittent right flank pain. What are some reasons that I could be having these issues?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have mild intermittent flank pain along with rectal pressure. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like arthritis , disk disease , pinched nerve in the back , muscle spasm , kidney infection , kidney stones , pancreatitis and inflammatory illnesses of the bowel . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor will take history , see that in which direction pain is going , order kidney function test , blood test and ultrasound . Doctor may refer you to nephrologist for kidney problem or gastroenterologist for liver problem, who may order liver function test . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist if there will be condition related to gastric problem . For now apply warm compresses on back and upper abdomen and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
