What Causes Mild Menstrual Bleeding Along With Abdominal Cramps?

Hi. I was a week late for my period, I m usually always on time and never miss. I ve been bleeding for 2 days but it s stopped. I took a pregnancy test before the bleeding and it came back positive. The bleeding was accompanied by painful cramps... Could this have been a miscarriage? Or could I still be pregnant? Please help.

Hello,

You could still be pregnant is the answer of your question. What you felt as bleeding for two days can be implantation bleeding, the bleeding that occurs after conceiving.

I would advise you to visit a gynecologist as soon as possible for the necessary tests and physical examination.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
