What Causes Mild Pain In Left Shoulder And Elbow?

I have a dull pain in my left shoulder and elbow. On rare occasions it is sharp - primarily if I am to sneeze or cough. I have had the pain for a number of months. Initially my left hand would on occasion go numb. I have been to a chiropractor and the numbness has gone away but the pain still exists. Any recommendations?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Persistance of dull pain in left shoulder and elbow is suggestive of muscular pain.
Muscle relaxants, physiotherapy and hot fomentation will help to reduce the pain.
Is there history of trauma to the arm in shoulder and arm in the past?
Trauma can result in soft tissue injury and muscle spasm and thus pain in the shoulder and elbow.
Please consult your doctor again to start with physiotherapy and muscle relaxants.

Thanks and take care
