Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! I am a female of 27 years age. I have been experiencing mild pain around the lower back (i think rectum area) since yesterday. Actually its like an urge to facade. I had very low fever yesterday as well. I am worried it might be a case of appendicitis. Pls help with my case.
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.
It is not appendicitis, it is colonopathy. Colonopathy is characterized by abdominal discomfort and lower back pain.
To relieve the symptoms you should follow these guidelines: 1. Do not eat spicy and acidic foods. 2. Do not drink alcoholic and carbonated drinks, coffee and milk. 3. Quit smoking(if you do smoke).
Before starting the treatment you should confirm the diagnosis. To do that you need abdominal ultrasound, liver function test, complete blood count and urine test.
All the best. Dr. Behar.
