Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Mild Painful Bruise At The Knuckle Of The Little Finger?
I Suddenly have a mildly pAinful bruise on my pinky knuckle with no impact or trauma. I looked down as I was going, and there it was. It is reddish purple and about 2 to 3 inches in diameter. This happened once before, about 2 months ago. Doc said he thought it might be a burst bursa, if I had hit it just right (last time was on my middle finger knuckle). We had xrays, but there was no discernable break or fracture. I ve heard that to burst a bursa requires significant impact. Amy ideas?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern. Discussion:- Such lesion could be due to collagen disease and if this is so then it would come around on its own. Medication:- In case of pain analgesic can be tried Advise:- Some specific test of antibodies is advisable Comments:- Age and gender is missing here because condition may be related with this.
