What Causes Mild Tooth Ache, Swollen Lymph Node And Tinnitus?

My husband has had a mild toothache for weeks. He went to dentist but no x Rays were taken. It has gotten worse now he has throbbing pain and several teeth on the lef hurt, sinus pain, swollen glands and most recently ear ringing. No fever. Should he go to the ER or wait to try and see a dentist tomorrow?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain mild toothache can be due to causes like deep infection in the tooth leading to cavity, tooth fracture, opening of nerve endings etc..
But sharp pain in all teeth of one side along with sinus pain, swollen glands and ringing in ears seems to be most probably due to sinus infection leading to Sinusitis that has led to ear infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..

For localized toothache you should get an x ray of tooth done under supervision of dentist and get it treated by either root canal treatment or extraction depending upon the condition of tooth..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
