What Causes Minty Sensation On Tongue Along With Headaches?
Hello, I am feeling a MINTY/Menthol sensation in my tounge, throat and nose... I am a person who rarely had headache or migraine, the past two week I am feeling Headaches, I din t consume mint or menthol, even I woke up with my mouth very dry and had that sensation of menthol. I would like to know whats the causes and risk of this sensation that is very fustrating. Thanks
Understanding your concern. As per your query minty sensation on tongue along with headaches is probably due to migraine ,the condition is known as sensory aura .There are many trigger factors in case of migraine mainly stress. Need not to worry. It is best to avoid trigger factors in case of migraine. You should go for yoga and meditation. You can also take some medicines for migraine like amitriptyline, propranolol and vasograin .Try to avoid loud sound ,bright light and congested area. You may also start multivitamin supplements. If the condition still persists ,you should consult doctor ,who can diagnose by taking history of symptoms or may order for tests like CT scan and MRI.
