Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Missed Menstrual Cycle And Pulsating Feeling And Discomfort In Abdomen?
I m not sure if I m pregnant or not, missed periods but urine test are coming back negative. For about a month now I ve had these pulsating, uncomfortable (not painful) feelings in my abdomen. No where else, just there. It s like I can feel my heartbeat in there. Any ideas?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The urine pregnancy test comes positive 10-14 days after conception. Thus, pregnancy test should be taken up 10-14 days after conception. Pulsating uncomfortable feeling in abdomen needs to be investigated. Pulsations are felt when there is increased blood flow to some organ or some mass in abdomen. I suggest you to consult a physician and to get an ultrasound abdomen to look for any mass or swelling in abdomen. Further management can be planned after clinical assessment and investigations only.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
