Hello,

As you have taken emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hours of unprotected intercourse and other intercourse episodes were either protected or unable to make sperm reach ovum, the possibility of you being pregnant is nil.

However, you should still confirm before going for any further investigations. You can take a home pregnancy test by purchasing the kit over-the-counter at any medical store. You have to urinate on the stick of the kit on the indicator area and wait for the results for 5-10 minutes. The indicator area may show (+) or (-) sign, indicating positive or negative pregnancy test, respectively.

If the test comes negative, you should visit a gynecologist for physical examination and further investigations (blood tests, ultrasonography) to rule out hormonal irregularities or other maladies related to female reproductive system.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
