What Causes Missed Period Along With Whitish Vaginal Discharge?
hi there, i am two days late for my period and have had, at first, a thick cream like discharge.. now watery as if i run to the bathroom thinking its my period. the only feelings i have for cramping arent like period cramps and feel more sharp and stretching. the past two weeks have experienced unexplained tears of saddness and of joy and i am having loss of appetite
If you are sexually active then you need to consider a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormone which can normally be picked up by day 11 to 14 after conception. If the time frame has passed then you can do a test. The home tests are as accurate as the office urine tests, the blood tests, however, can pick it up earlier.
If the time has not passed, then you should wait a few days and repeat. The discharge may be due to a yeast infection which can occur in or out of pregnancy. If you are pregnant you would not be able to use oral treatment only a topical cream or ovule.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
