What Causes Missed Period And Pregnancy Symptoms While HPT Is Negative?
I am 38 and the mother of two. We are TTC but have a history of being a little challenged with fertility. This last month I missed a period. This is very unusual for me. My cycle is typically 29-33 days. I am on day 50. I have had a couple of negative pregnancy tests. But I feel very hormonal and have some pregnancy symptoms. I just can t cope with the fact that I missed a period completely, so strange to not be pregnant. Thoughts?
As per my clinical experience, there can be various reasons for the missed period with pregnancy symptoms such as: - Ovarian cysts of various types - Endometrial hyperplasia - Uterine polyp - Fibroid uterus (subserosal, submucosal, intra-cavitary) - Adenomyosis uterus
It is best recommended to consult your OBGYN for possible need of ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
