What Causes Missed Period Despite A Negative UPT?

Hi I missed my period 3 days ago. I always get my period 4 days late. I have bloating, constipation. I feel so tired that I just want to sleep all day. I also have terrible mood swings. I don t have cramps or sore breasts. My home pregnancy test came out negative 7 times. With my first pregnancy I got it positive a day before my missed period. I there a chance that I can be pregnant? Thank you

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

There are many causes of secondary amenorrhea. Pregnancy (Physiological cause) is one of them, which is unlikely in view of a repeated negative test for pregnancy by home-kit (mostly based on urine strip test).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
