What Causes Missed Period Post Birth Control Withdrawal?

Hi. I just had a baby 5 months ago and have only had two periods since. I was on the pill but not for the last month. My period has been late about a week but I havnt had sex since before my last period so I knew that I wasn t pregnant. My boyfriend and I just had sex and he ejaculated inside of me. What are the chances that I will get pregnant?

I understand your concern.
Following delivery, if your periods have started back means that you have regained fertility. You need to use birth control pills for the desired period of time in such a case if you do not wish to conceive.
Since you were not on birth control pills during the time you had intercourse with your boyfriend, the chances of getting pregnant is there and it cannot be ruled out.
Kindly wait for the periods to happen, which would state that you have not conceived.
If there is delay in getting periods, kindly take urine pregnancy test after a week and undergo ultrasound scan of the abdomen. Consult Gynecologist with the reports for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
