What Causes Missed Period, Weight Loss And Headache?
i recently visited a new primary care doctor (just moved to a new state) to express concern about not feeling right with multiple symptoms. lost 10 -15 lbs unintentionally (initialy attributed it to travel and moving stress but now not so sure) but started at only 135 so it seems dramatic...missed two periods now into my third month with no menses but was usually regular, more headaches than normal and top of the list is _severe_ night sweats...any ideas before i freak myself out by searching online forums and what not? doc ordered multiple tests but i discovered i have to change my insurance to new state before covered so i havent utilized that option yet. thanks in advance :)
Your symptoms suggest that most likely you might be suffering from thyroid dysfunction called hyperthyroidism where the thyroid hormone levels in the body are in excess than required. To confirm that you need to get a thyroid profile done and to rule out further possibilities I need to know your age and menstrual history. I recommend you to get thyroid profile done and see a doctor for further management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sushma Dubbaka
