Missed period and pregnancy was negative. Prolactin level is high. Taking azifast for pimples. High level of prolactin is the most probable cause of delayed periods.
Thus, the cause for high prolactin levels needs to be known.
High level of prolactin can occur in prolactinoma or tumors of pituitary gland.
Certain drugs can also cause increase in prolactin levels however, the drugs mentioned by you are not likely to cause elevated levels of prolactin.
High levels of prolactin also interfere with conception.
Thus, it is important to find out the cause of high prolactin level and thus its treatment.
In case you are suspicious of pregnancy, you can take up urine pregnancy test 10-14 days after the probable time of conception.
