I missed my periods. Last menses was on October 8, I am feeling tired and having lower backache with white vaginal discharge. I did my home pregnancy test today which is negative. I have never missed my periods and my cycles are regular. Am I pregnant ?

Hello,
Home pregnancy tests should be done with standard kits, 3-7 days after the missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine. You can either repeat the HPT after a couple of days or go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. Also, you will need a clinical exam by an expert to exclude other causes for the symptoms like pelvic infection etc. Urinary infections also can cause irregular periods and hence urinalysis also may be done. Swab tests of the vagina, cervix and a sonogram of the pelvis help to plan further management. Hope this helps.
