What Causes Missed Periods After Intercourse When Urine Test Is Negative?

Hi ... i had my period on 16th Dec, and made relation to my finance on 21st Dec... Now its 27th Jan, i am not having my periods ,. I HAVE DONE MY URINE TEST TWICE , ITS NEGATIVE.
I spoke to one of the doctor , he suggested to take regesteron (10mg) or metrat (10mg) twice a day for ten days .
I cannot understand, plz suggest ???

Hello,

First, confirm pregnancy by blood hCG level and USG, then take medicines as prescribed as above. As you finish your course, there will be bleeding. Delayed period is most likely due to hormonal imbalance.
