What Causes Missed Periods, Bloating And Stomach Cramps?
Hi Dr. -- Not only do I have all PMS symptoms but they are all much more intense than normally. I have missed 2 periods even though I am usually on a very regular 28 day cycle. This time I have been feeling bloated and extremely crampy which affects my mood. My appetite is fine but I feel almost nauseous and fatigued all day long. I sleep ok at nigh though, exercise and overall have what would be considered healthy life style. I m 48 so I understand this could be menopausal but it s been dragging on for almost 4 weeks now feeling very unpleasant.
I really appreciate your concern. All this symptoms are definitely due to menopause. Your body is trying to cope up with absence of ovarian hormones. It may take a long period for such process. In many women in whom symptoms are severe and persistent, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is being used. If you are having persistent symptoms then you can try HRT.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.
Thank you.
Best Regards. Dr. Manan
