Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Missed Periods With White Specs In Urine?
I went to the doctor about a month ago for an std check and I am clean. I had a yeast infection but I used medication to clear it..... It s been about a month.... The yeast infection is gone. I know because I don t itch.... I feel like I have white specs in my urine and its really bothering me. I haven t had my period all July.... Its late august now...... Is this a sign of pregnancy or is it something more serious that I should get checked out?
I would need some more information about the while stuff in your urine. I need to know whether these are present as small white flakes or is it turbidity that you are talking about.
In any case, I would suggest you get routine microscopy and culture of your urine done. The whitish stuff could be deposits of epithelial cells or white blood cells or can be calcium deposits. This investigation needs to be done because often urinary tract infections often go undetected and you could be having one.
I would also need to know whether you are drinking good amounts of fluid and whether your urinary output is reasonable. I would also need to know if you have any associated complaints.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
