What Causes Moaning In Patient With Down S Syndrome?

My brother who is 50 has down syndrome and at night he has started to moan and it is very loud, we have taken him to doctors and no one seems to know why this is happening have you ever heard of such a thing. The neighbors have started to complain as well.

Hello,

Moaning in sleep is quite common, unfortunately the cause of sleep related moaning is not known. It is not related to any abnormality and there is no abnormal brain activity. There is also no link with any kind of mental disorder.

Down syndrome is not the cause of your brother's moaning. Please try and adjust to the fact that there is hardly anything that can be done to stop this.
