What Causes Moist, Itchy Buttocks?
My crack of my buttock feels like it is sweaty, but is not, then it is itchy. I am not even doing anything when sometimes it happens. Have not changed any soaps, or shampoos either. Sometimes the day I shower sometimes the next day. It is just random, I wear cotton boxers. Is there something to stop the itching? And what do you think causes it. It usually only last hours to a day or less. Not in a warm climate, comfortable in the 70 s in California. Help me please! Thank you.

It is called jock itch. Wear loose clothes so as to keep the area airy. Wear All-cotton underwear (better no to wear any).
Keep area clean. Use water to clean the area once daily at least.
If I was your treating physician I would like to prescribe you to apply Hydrocortisone cream ( combination of Hydrocortisone and Clotrimazole) 3 times a day.
Take 1 tablet Claritin by mouth twice daily.
