Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello! I have some small light/medium brown moles that have been changing over the past three months. (Before circular, now the edges are blurry and asymmetrical). 3 days ago a small black circle appeared on my toe- seemingly under the skin. I thought it might be a little blood blister, but now I m wondering if this could all be related to melanoma or other skin cancer problem. I am in my early twenties, female, and almost never wear sunscreen. (I am fair skinned but hardly ever tan or burn). Thank you!
Recent changes(in colour, border or size) in a preexisting mole needs evaluation. Kindly consult a dermatologist for the same. You may be asked for a biopsy of the lesion. Chance of melanoma is less, but we have to be careful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
