What Causes Mood And Weight Fluctuations In A Thyroid Person?
I have had an under active thyroid probelm for nearly 20 years, i am now 39. i have yearly blood tests that come back 'normal' and i have been on the same dosage for years 150mg daily.
My weight flutuates as well as my mood and fatigue, is it possible that my thyroid works sometimes and my medication is not enough the othertime?
Do i need to up my dosage by listening to my body?
Also i have never been told to take the tablets on an empty stomach and take it after my breakfast, would this make a difference to the absorbancy?
Hello and thank you for asking! I have gone carefully through your concern. First of all the tablets should be taken fasting, with an empty stomach. The absorbance is altered by taking it after food. Second, the dose should be changed only by TSH level not by your signs or symptoms. Best wishes, Dr.Mirjeta
