What Causes Mood Swings After A Spinal Decompression Surgery?
I had decompression on my neck six weeks ago. My mood swings are insane. I did not recive pain meds because there was no pain after surgery. I have a hole in my back skull and the dr did not put the pice of skull back on. I m just wondering if all this is affecting my moods

It may be due to stress or trauma (as surgery is major trauma) or due to drugs like centrally acting sedatives and antidepressants, etc. Most commonly depression after surgery seen many patients. Avoid centrally acting muscle relaxant and pain killer medication. You may consult your psychiatrist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
