General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per the symptoms you have quoted,I think that you have mixed anxiety-depression disorder..
The symptoms can vary from palpitation, loose motions, perspiration, lack of appetite, significant weight loss, insomnia, sleepiness, lack of confidence, lack of drive, feeling of doom, loss of interest in activities which used to give pleasure earlier, low self esteem, decreased libido, social withdrawal, irritability, agitation etc.
Every anxiety is accompanied by some degree of depression and every depression is accompanied by some degree of anxiety through the quantum may differ.
You need a proper treatment which would be tailored by your psychiatrist.
It would consist of anti-anxiety and antidepressant drugs.
Psychological counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relaxation techniques, belly breathing, increased physical activity, exposure to sun, yoga, meditation would help you in improving.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
