What Causes Mood Swings And Tender Breasts Before Having Periods?
Hi I'm 32 and trying for my second baby but trying to work out my ovulation time's are such a pain as my cycle can be some times 28 day's 30..32..34. When I'm getting my cycle my boobs are extremely tender and my mood is extremely low. Should i be worried about this or is it normal. Thanks
Hello thanks for choosing HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. It is common in females to develop mood swings and breast tenderness during ovulation or just before periods. Hormonal changes during menstrual cycle are the reason behind these symptoms. In most of females such symptoms occur due to premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and are self limited. If the symptoms increase in severity or cause significant depressive symptoms or negative thoughts then urgent psychiatric consultation is advised. If you are having mild symptoms then in my opinion there is no need to worry this is absolutely normal.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
