Post op spinal fusion L5 S1.Why would there be mottling on both legs and slight pooling of blood bottoms of feet. Cold extremities. Fever a little over 101.3 since day 2 post op. Skin is numb outer thigh. Legs burn and ache. Surgery was 26th oct. still getting fever at night. Should I be concerned???
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Complete healing after a spinal surgery may only be a progressive process. The symptoms you describe on legs are normal after such a surgery and may need some to completely disappear. You may also need the services of a Physiotherapist for reeducation. As for fever at night, it is not normal. The cause should be investigated if fever persist.Blood tests for infections like ERS, full blood count, typhoid test...may help. Hope this will help Wish you good health
