What Causes Mouth Ulcers And Dry Lips With Breathing Difficulty?
My mother is constantly dry, often I get mouth users and my lips are dry and sore. Food and drink is tasteless. I get breathless going up stairs or over exerting myself and the tops of my legs are painful. I have been like this for over 6 weeks. Any idea what is wrong?
hello i have read your query.it can be a case of dry mouth (xerostomia).plz mention your age.are you taking any medication also.dry mouth or xerostomia can be caused due to multiple reasons most common is the side effect of a drug in elderly. is your blood sugar level normal.i suggest you to get it checked out. rheumatoid arthritis can also lead to dry mouth.blood test like erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) C-reactive protein (CRP).can be done.
i recommend you to visit a physician first to rule out the problem that is causing a dry mouth.
You did not mention if you are taking any medication for general health. Dryness can be due to medicines,dehydration,diabetes mellitus, radiation,etc.
Taste can be altered with dry mouth. Check with your physician for a change in prescription if necessary.
Have plenty of water 3 litre per day. Check your blood sugar levels. keep under good control. Chew on a lemon once a while.Have citrus ,they increase your saliva flow.
Reduce your spicy and salt intake. Go for a healthy tobacco free, non-alcoholic lifestyle. Follow regular oral hygiene routine.
