What Causes Movable Lump On The Gums Post Teeth Cleaning Treatment?
My teen daughter had her teeth cleaning done yesterday. Today she woke up feeling a hard small pea size bump that moves along when it is touched and it is also a little painful (to the touch). It can be felt from the outside of her cheek by the jawline and the skin on that spot is a bit pink .She never felt it before. No fever.no headache. However, she also woke up with a litte bit of sore throat. What should we do?
As per your complain the movable lump by the jaw line can be a slightly enlarged or swollen lymph node and it can be due to some sort of infection..
As your daughter has got her scaling done just yesterday there can be a chance that the bacterial infection from her gums had caused slight infection in throat causing sore throat as well as the lymph node swelling can be due to the infection in throat..
You need not to worry as the lump will slowly regress as the sore throat will get relieved as the infection will reduce..
If she gets more of discomfort in her throat a short course of antibiotics and warm saline gargles along with throat lozenges can relieve her..
Hope this information helps..
