What Causes Moving Lumps Around The Groin And Thigh?

Hi, I got a lump, just noticed today on the left, around the pelvic/groin, where the leg meets the trunk. No pain except on touch, I feel a sensation. The lump is mobile. There may be a smaller lump lower down adjacent to my genital opening but again near the thigh before the bone.

Hello,

The following are few causes of mobile lumps across groin:
1) Lipoma
2) Varicocele
3) Spermatocele
4) Inguinal hernia
5) Neurofibroma
6) Fluid filled cysts

Treatment depends upon the cause and type of swelling. Most of the times, excision is the treatment of choice if the swelling is bothering or increasing in size. Please do consult a general surgeon for thorough clinical evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
