What Causes Mucus Discharge From Nose And Mouth With Pressure On Teeth?
I have to clear whitis, sticky mocus through my nose or mouth in every 30-40 minute. Sometimes I feel pressure on my nose and teeth also. I usually keep my mouth open while sleep due to this. I also feel some blockage in my nose which usually keep shifting from one side of nose to another. Is it DNS or something else? Pleaze suggest treatment and cost.
Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in query are due to two things . Firstly it is due to deviated nasal septum (DNS)specially blocked nostrils . Secondly it is due to sinusitis which occur as a result of deviated nasal septum and because of this you are feeling pressure on nose.
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay . Because when sinusitis occur due to DNS one should immediately consult doctor to prevent infection from spreading to other parts .
Doctor may order X-ray and CT scan to evaluate the condition. He or she may perform surgical procedure like submucous resection surgery or septoplasty and prescribe antibiotics for sinusitis along with decongestants.
For now do warm saline rinses several times a day , take steam and take advil (if not allergic ) or tylenol for discomfort and swelling.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
