Hi,
Noted your history of being treated for
Bronchial Asthma, develop recurrent lung mucus, discharge from eyes, nose and the skin of scalp and chin become crystallized.
Since you have Asthma mean there is a possibility of
allergy to multiple factors and the same causing skin changes hence called as
allergic dermatitis. It can be due to seborrhoic dermatitis too.
The mucus from the areas you mentioned can primarily be due to allergy and getting increased due to secondary infection.
This can be well diagnosed by the following ways:
Consult your Doctor and respective Specialists for clinical examination, evaluation and relevant investigations for getting a proper diagnosis so that a proper management can be done.
X-ray of chest and
CT scan if there is more doubt to be confirmed or ruled out.
Test of blood.
Tests of the expectorated phlegm for routine, microscopy,
Tuberculosis and cancer cells.
Any other investigations like PFT that is pulmonary function tests.
Once a proper diagnosis is done then a prescription based management of the diagnosed entities can help you the best.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
