What Causes Muscle Ache And Frequent Urination While On Vitamin D Supplement?

I have been prescribed 50000 units of Vitamin D which I take once a week and have been taking since approximently since July. I have been experiencing muscle and bone pain, weakness, frequent urination, dry month. Of what I have read these are side effects of the Vit. D. I have not taken my dose this week and am wondering if I am on track with my gut. Have long after discontinuing this will these side effect last? YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

It is not related to vitamin D.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

A urine routine examination is required to rule out UTI.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
