What Causes Muscle Cramps In The Hands And Excessive Sweating?

I am a 40 year-old male at 6 6 , 240 lbs. I work outdoors in SC and sweat a lot. I drink at least two gallons of water per day, but lately I have been having terrible muscle cramps in my legs, hands, and forearms. Could this be related to dehydration? I am in otherwise perfect health.
