I am 68 years old and get leg muscle cramps in my legs when I m sleeping. Very painful when they wake you up in pain. I drink Tonic water with quinine and in a few mintues they are gone. Why am I getting these and is there something I can do to prevent them?
Hello, Muscle cramps are often from either dehydration or not getting enough of the proper vitamins and minerals. I suggest you take a multivitamin/multimineral supplement daily and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Stretching daily may also help. Regards
