Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain right at the sacrum. The pain runs down my legs and the bottoms of my feet are numb. I have a suspicion that I have an intestinal blockage or tumor or something as the pain is worse when I need to have a bowel movement. I Had surgery in 1970 to remove intestinal adhesions due to severe child abuse. Also I get severe muscle cramps in my back and sides. At night time I get them in my legs. I was diagnosed with MS in 93 but it has been in remission for at least 15 years. What is causing the muscle cramps? I take extra calcium, magnesium and potassium and a little vinegar water to help absorb them.
hey if you have pain shooting down from your back to your legs then as u have said whenever u try to move your bowels it gets worse (during straining) you probably have a herniated disc based on these 2 facts u gave me the intestinal surgery you had was probably not contributory to your present problem
