What Causes Muscle Pain In Right Arm Along With Swelling?

Hello, I am a 52 year old woman and I have had muscle pain in my right arm for a couple of months. It started after I was doing arm circles for exercise. Thought it would be better by now? Also I noticed my vein in the crook of my arm is enlarged. Any thoughts? Thank you! Ann

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain should not last for months unless the area is continuously re injured by some movement.

Normally pain related to mild muscle injury would last only up to few weeks.

You may want to try to restrict movement for at least a week to see if there is any improvement.
This can be combined with oral anti inflammatory medication such as naproxen, cataflam or ibuprofen

If no improvement occurs then you may need to consider visiting your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
