few weeks ago I was diagnosed with diverticulitis as I had a strong pain that felt like a pulled muscle in my lower left abdomen. I went on a course of very strong antibiotics that gave me diarrhoea for the duration. 8 years ago a colonoscopy revealed a mild diverticulosis but never had an episode. Three days after initial onset this time CT scan revealed the same and at the same time pain went. Now I have it again and can’t help but wonder if it could be a pulled muscle or trapped wind. Yesterday I picked up and held three year old grand daughter and possibly could have done likewise the first time. I have antibiotics here as back up as I have not long returned from overseas trip, but reluctant to take them as I have just finished a course of antibiotics for an ear infection and been battling thrush as a result of the first lot of antibiotics a few weeks ago.
