What Causes Muscle Spasms And Rashes On The Joints?

My son has been dealing with muscle tightness and pain for two years now. He has also had spasms at intervals. He has most recently had some slight twitching of extremities and a rash on his joints that responds to zertec. What type of doctor do you think he should see?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to many medical conditions. It can be related to a muscular issue. I suggest to see a rheumatologist for further evaluation and a specific treatment. Meanwhile, I suggest using a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen three times a day. I also suggest to give him magnesium supplement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
