What Causes Muscle Spasms In Legs While Sleeping?
Hi my mother age 69 recently started having these cramps/ muscle spasms in her legs (calves) when she goes to bed........mainly when she moves around and tries to curl up in bed but if she lays on her back and keeps her legs straight it seems to be fine........what might the cause be?

cramps in legs due to either electrolyte imbalance like decresed potassium or calcium and other minerals
so I would like to suggest plz undergo once color Doppler test to that leg and check weather circulation is maintained or not
check the electrolyte if less give her minerals in from of ors,milk, potassium syrup.. ok
she can take analgesic like acecloplus twice daily for 3 days
I would like to ask her weather she had hypertension or sugar ,so to be controlled .ok
don't worry consult HCM or family doctor after the reports ok
