What Causes Muscle Stiffness And Soreness After Taking L-Thyroxine And Valsartan?

I ve had muscle stiffness and soreness for about 5 months. I have hypothyroid and am on l-thyroxine and hypertension and I m on varsetan for that. I get regular therapeutic massage and within hours my muscles are tight again. I am 53, overweight but in quite good physical shape. I work out regularly. this isn t the normal delayed muscle soreness

Hi,

There are a number of different possible causes for muscle aches and pain. You may want to consider seeing a rheumatologist for assessment.

Conditions such as RA, lupus, myositis etc would need to be considered. Your medications would also need to be assessed to see if they can be contributing to your discomfort.
