What Causes Muscle Tightness While Treating Bursitis And Bulging Disc In The Back?

hello i have some issues with tight muscles, deep heat ultrasound and massage/physical therapy really helped in the past, i m just wondering if my body being sedentary or inactive has caused this tightening of muscles, i am sore to the touch in places and i ve gained weight (over past year of being in school and inactive physically), i have been told i have bursitis in my hip and a bulging disc in my back, so it s difficult to exercise much, but what can you recommend as perhaps, baby steps to get rid of this tightness

Hello,
Yes inactivity can cause muscle tightness. It is best to do as much walking as you can but the real treatment for muscle tightness is stretching. Yoga works well and any form of stretching will help. A warm soak in a tub or shower before you stretch will also help the muscles loosen up. Drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and taking a multivitamin may also help
Regards
