What Causes Muscle Twitching On Right Side Of The Face Towards The Lip?
Hello i ve been having some twiching on my right side of my face more towards my bottom lip. It started after i had a bad toothache i m not sure if it s from the toothache or its something else. My toothache has went away and i still have the twiching. Why is this happening?
As per your query twitching of one side of face and lip can occur commonly due to nerve injury that supplies the muscle of the face that is Facial Nerve and injury , compression or inflammation of the nerve can lead to damage to the protective covering present over the nerve known as Myelin sheath and causes disturbance in nerve function.. As the facial nerve supplies muscles of face disturbance in its function causes twitching of the affected side of face, lips and even can cause muscle paralysis.. You should consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and treatment can be planned according to the cause.. As of now do warm compresses of the affected side of face, take vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12 supplements and also get the tooth that was painful treated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
