What Causes Muscle Weakness And Nausea While On Diclofenac Potassium?

I was taking potassium supplement due to some leg cramps at night and dr. switched my pain meds to diclofenac potassium 50 mg. 3 times a day. I started noticing muscle weakness and nausea. I thought it was just side effect of medicine, but now thinking maybe too much potassium?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
Too much potasium is a serious and life threatening condition that may manifest with symptoms like nausea, fatigue, muscle weakness, or tingling sensations. From your symptoms, and given the fact that you have been on possasium for some, it is possible. However, other ionic or metabolic imbalances may give you similar symptoms.I will suggest you stop diclofenac potassium immediately and see your Doctor for a serum electrolyte test.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Best regards
