What Causes Muscles Spasms In The Legs While On Spironolactone?

Yes, I am taking spironolactone 25 mg, and atorvastatin 20 mg. I am getting really really bad muscles spasm in both legs. They are so bad that I cannot not move sit or stand, I scream out because I am in so much pain, is this medication causing this?

Hello,

I think that it is not the spironolactone causing this but the atorvastatin as it is a common cause of muscular pains and spasm. You are also on a high dose for it. I suggest you take 10mg instead of 20mg and take cholesterol blood levels in 3-6 months.
