What Causes Muscular Soreness Post Alcohol Intake?

I ve noticed every time I have alcohol, it doesn t matter the amount, that my muscles get really sore and get progressivly worse over the next two days. I know I didn t do anything to strain them, because I ve made an effort to monitor what I do on the night and how my body responds over the next couple of days. I don t get drunk, I m very against it, but I do drink. It doesn t seem to matter what sort of alcohol I drink, but I ve noticed it s worse if I have taquellia. Is this common and what do you think is happening?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. Muscle soreness occurs as alcohol contains harmful toxins that force your body to retrieve nutrients from muscles. Your muscles need these essential nutrients for proper functioning. Alcohol also causes dehydration which is also responsible for muscle soreness and aches. I would suggest to stop drinking alcohol for a few days. Take plenty of fluids, and take a balanced diet. I hope you will get benefit from this. Thanks
