Hi I have been diagnosed with Myoadenylate deaminase deficiency. Just wondering if you could give me a basic run down of the condition. How are all the cells, enzymes, molecules, protein levels, bilirubin levels and ATP connected and how do they get effected. I have some info but it s all a little confusing. Just any info would be great. Is the deficiency causing low protein levels, high bilirubin levels? Regards Mel
Hi, Ihave gone through your query. The deficiency is a metabolic muscle disease that interferes with the muscle cells processing of ATP,THE MAJOR energy molecule of the cell.It is caused by a genetic defect in the ennyme, which affects the cells ability to process ATP.
