What Causes Nasal Bleeding After Sneezing And Blowing?

recovering from mild flu, saw blood in the mucus Sunday morning. Not unusual to rupture a small vessel with repeated heavy blowing of the node.. but by Sunday afternoon, I was seeing short strands and clots of blood, as well. Visit to Urgent Care, and the Dr. confirmed no serious issue, put me on Tetracycline for 10 days to prevent a sinus infection.Seemed to have stopped as of this morning. Then, after a sudden bout of heavy sneezing...more bleeding. Hasn't stopped. No matter how gently I blow... blood. How can I stop this? I have a Netti pot..

By Sunday afternoon, you were seeing short strands and clots of blood, as well.
You visited to Urgent Care, and the Dr. confirmed no serious issue, put you on Tetracycline for 10 days to prevent a sinus infection.

It for you that bleeding had stopped as of this morning but there was bleeding following sneezing.

I would like to know what is your profession? You should wear a mask to avoid contact with pollutants. This would itself decrease the allergy and sneezing.

This may also be due to dryness of nasal mucosa. Applying isotonic saline nasal drops should help you.

You should take appropriate rest. If you have fever or excessive bleeding then you should consult your physician.
