What Causes Nasal Bleeding And Breathlessness?

Ive been sick for 5 days now, and for the first time ive been feeling short of breath, no chest pains, so I chalked it up to anxiety, because all i have to do is calm down and not worry so much about whats wrong with me for it to go away, however I cant talk for too long because my voice ends up dissipating from breathlessness or at least i think its that (all i have to do is cough and i can talk again before it reoccurs), I was a smoker from 09-14 until I switched to vaporizers, which I mistakingly used on the first day and second day of being sick (I take vitamin c reguraly and the symptons werent very apparent), it was that second day i started feeling short of breath. My lifestyle is a sedentary one if thats any help. Also when i blow nose theres almost always blood, but theres no blood when i cough up phlegm.

welcome to health care magic, I have gone through your question very diligently and I really appreciate your concern.

Breathlessness and nasal bleeding in the backdrop of history of smoking is a matter of concern, which might be related to number of conditions like
COPD, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Asthma
Infection like Tuberculosis,
Nasal polyp
heart or lung disease

I would advise you to visit nearest emergency room for physical examination like checking of blood pressure, chest examination, and blood test like hemoglobin, CBC,ESR, sputum test for microscopy and chest X Ray.

In my opinion you should take expectorant cough syrup like bromhexine, steam inhalation which will help by diluting and dissolving thick secretion of respiratory tract.
Deep breathing exercises are also advisable.
