Side effects of taking Dolonex for a long period is unpleasant breath odour. Similarly side effect of long term intake of Gabapentin is a typical fruity smell in the breath apart from the other side effects. If you are not comfortable with the bad breath, you should discuss it with your treating doctor who has prescribed you this medicine.
Either the doses can be monitored or the medicines replaced by other medication that suits you better. Do not make changes in your medicines, without consultation with your treating doctor. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, for bad breath. Get treated at the earliest.
